There’s a massive amount of publicity about sex and gender today and most extraordinary shenanigans in the name of it. Even court cases and so on.
Well it seems to me that under it all there is a massive lack of understanding. Massive.
5% of the publicity of all this stuff studiously, deliberately and even criminally ignores the indisputable fact that nature makes mistakes when mixing chromasomes in creating new life and we get people who have such a mixture that is neither wholly ‘male’ nor wholly ‘female’ and that’s just a simple fact.
You can’t run around screaming they are not this, not that, without stating what, then, are they?
And that supposes getting it straight whether you are talking about ‘gender’ as an attitude of mind or ‘sex’ as defined by a certain dna pattern?
‘gender’ used this way goes back only to the ’50’s. Hence there’s always possible confusion because out there are many people and writings that do not see it that way.
The two words used to be synonyms. ‘gender’ used as a discreet way to refer to ‘sex’ perhaps, for instance.
‘Sex’ remains, though, a word that applies strictly to biochemical realities, specifically genomic realities. Even today.
Returning to where I started: that’s where there are without a single doubt many ‘sexes’ because of simple errors in transcription and expression.
And I believe the public at large seem ignorant of that simple fact.
Put it this way: there are many sexes. There are. Simply fact. Because of natural biochemical fluctuations in their processes.
Now ‘gender’: that is your mindset today, that’s what it means. You ‘think you are female’, you ‘identify as a female’ and so on.
Well it is quite clear you could have any kind of mindset you wish. You could identify as an arcturian hermaphrodite if you so wished. Hence there are possible hundreds, even thousands of ‘genders’.
Just a simple fact.
It is all simple really but the simple realities are not told to the public anywhere at any time that I know of.
Number one: there’s a difference between ‘sex’ and ‘gender’, those two words, today.
Number two: ‘sex’ means your dna make up. ‘gender’ means your mindset.
Number three: we get many ‘sexes’ because of errors in dna transcription. We get many ‘genders’ because people can imagine themselves to be anything.
Number four: We cannot wholly define ‘the truth’ by looking at the dna because there’s another thing happens: the dna may not be expressed or ‘read’ by the body properly and so a male dna body may develop as female (largely) and conversely.
Number five: Putting aside the mental stuff and concentrating on physical reality we have to acknowledge that there are not only two sexes but a possible multitude and we simply cannot shoe horn everyone into one or the other type. We need a third type. And we have it: ‘Intersex’. We have two ‘endpoints’: male at one end, female at the other, and all points between are ‘intersex’. Many people are ‘intersex’.
Number six: For rapid, easy, colloquial use perhaps best to think of us as coming in three sexes then, perhaps. male, female, intersex.
Throw away this ‘there are only two sexes’ for it simply is not true and never was
There is a thing that needs taking notice of: It never was. It never was true there were only two sexes. Never.
Though many like to scream that there always was only two. No. There were always two endpoints and in the background all the points between.
The above all mainly about ‘sex’, the physical realities, the dna and expression of that dna.
Now what about ‘gender’ – the various mindsets that people have? That’s very hard to understand.
What are they talking about? ‘I feel like a woman’. ‘I know I am really a woman’ Or the converse: ‘I feel like I am really a man’ etc. What do they mean?
What do they feel like, which ‘man’ or ‘woman’ do they feel like? All men are different. They don’t all feel the same. They see much difference between themselves. And they don’t ‘feel like a man’. They just ‘feel like myself’.
Others come along and say ‘How those people feel, they being men, is how men feel.’ Is ‘the manfeeling’ .
i.e. to the gender changers ‘feeling that way makes me a man’.
And they claim to ‘feel that way’.
But notice: nowhere have we found, defined, that feeling. We still don’t now what it is. Me being a man no one knows how I feel. Are you saying that feel as I feel? How do you know how I feel? How do you know if I even do feel?
No. It’s a nonsense as put. What it really means, I would guess, is ‘how i perceive you and your actions that’s how I feel I want to appear and to act’.
It’s not you ‘feel like a man’ ( or a woman, looking from the other perspective) it is that you feel you want to do this or that appear this or that way.
That’s very shallow. For it ignores the vast range of performance and appearance. And it is ‘skin deep’ clearly in the first instance and goes nowhere near what is beneath the skin: what if that woman you ‘want to be like’, ‘do feel like’ really obsessively thinks of herself as a man?
You feel like a woman who feels like a man? What man? A man who feels like a woman? Who feels like a man?
Nonsense. What you feel like is threefold i think: performing in that way, looking that way and having certain powers/attributes you think they have.
Which is all fair enough on the face of it. You want and identify with these three things.
But the point is they do not make you that person, that ‘sex’ and, as said, they are mainly superficial cosmetic things or imaginations without certain foundation so if they did make you that ‘thing’ it would be a hollow insubstantial thing with great lacunae where your imaginings were false.
To make these feelings, desires that you have supposedly be expressions of an inner reality that is a ‘real you’ struggling to get out is in fact denying the ‘real you’. Is a running away from the real self.
It is changing the utter truth: ‘I want’ into an utterly false claim: ‘I am’.
They often refer to it all as a ‘search for identity’. No. It is an avoidance of identity.
