it looks they have some more opportunities to move troops and equipment during the night and they make clever use of days with winter fog (same happened in the 1944 ardennes offensive).

I have this answer but Southfront press is hopeless. This answer is ‘too big’ and I’ve been there before, trying to cut it into pieces and feed them in one at a time. Tedious, annoying and shouldn’t be necessary.
So I’ll put my response here and link to it:
Yes that’s a factor. But it has always been a factor. Well known by both sides. And the Russian side claims to be more on top of that factor.
What we are talking about here (at least I am) is ‘claims’. It is all about ‘claims’.
One claim is that this is ‘new warfare’ and you cannot move armour on the battlefield any more.
Another claim is that Russia is totally in command of the air.
Another claim is that Russia has drone dominance.
Another claim is that the Kiev military is in a critical mess.
Yet here they are constantly on the attack in Kursk.
You understand ‘attack’ ? That means plenty of arms, men, ammunition, support, command and the reserve to sustain the attack, hold captured ground, protect lengthened front line, replace losses.
A far cry from defence.
Move equipment during the night.
Past Russia’s infiltrating squads. Past their infra eyes in the sky. Past their microphones. Past their infrared on the ground. Pas Russians experienced and equipped to deal with it.
It’s what you do when you’re besieged and desperate. And its risky and costly even then.
These people do it so successfully they mount a two brigade attack !
It is not right.

The claims don’t match up. It is not as claimed. So which claims are wrong.
